Our Christmas part one

Our Christmas began mid-week with a special day with Granny Goose in our home.  She brought lovely gifts for the kids that they were overjoyed with.  The twins were given matching pj's as seen on Lydia.  So cute.

Emily even pulled off a game with Granny Goose, though I think it was equivalent to a marathon for poor Granny.

We chose to wait for our tree as the event of getting the tree and decorating together as a family was what we all looked forward to as much as, or possibly more than, the gifts themselves.  We tell the kids that celebrating Jesus' birthday is so special to us and we want to wait until his actual birthday to celebrate, just as we do for our own children.  They wait in eager anticipation for that day of celebration!  While we wait, we do some sort of advent calendar.  Here's Lydia picking up a cone from our homemade advent calendar this year. *actually, Lydia tells me that this isn't her, but Tessa.  I have no idea who it is, but I still think it's Lydia.

On Christmas Eve we went to get our Christmas tree- at a pleasantly reduced price. Off with everyone in the car and Daddy driving.

Big decision and everyone has an opinion, but a tree is finally agreed upon :).

After decorating and having treats and then naps, we went to celebrate with our church the birth of Jesus.  The kids loved the candlelight song at the end!

Love it, and I agree, I think that is your sister Tessa. Thanks for the back rub today. It was so sweet wee one.
