how He works it out

Homeschooling is a lot of work, much thought and a great deal of planning.  But sometimes God steps in and does it for me and at those times I'm so blessed and thankful.  Today we sat down after breakfast and talked about Job.  The kids were relating to the way Satan wanders over the earth seeking to hurt and disable Christians.  We talked about how easily we could become distracted by the business and the little ones fussing and all the needs- and stop taking the time to read our Bibles together, pray and draw our strength from Jesus.  After our discussion we opened our Heroes of the Faith book and started our read on Amy Carmichael, the missionary to India in the early 1900's.  Right away the story of her struggles against all the resistance of Satan and man in her journeys as a missionary emphasized what we had just been reading in Job.  As we read on about her life, a situation in her childhood was described when the Lord rescued her and her brothers from a boat caught in powerful tides.  At the moment of struggle she sang out a hymn to God, that Hymn being "He Leadeth Me"-- just the hymn that the kids and I have been studying for the last month!  It was very special to hear of that song in her life so long ago!
