I call this "4-year-old doctrine"

after a discussion about the dangers of playing with scissors Luke asked me "If I got stabbed in the heart, would Jesus die?"

and earlier...

at the beach I was warning Luke about the water and he said "Cause I could die and then I'd go to heaven. or jail."

Steve would like to pass on a big "AMEN" to Luke, because when he was about Luke's age Steve also thought that Jesus literally lived in his heart. He says we have to use different terminology with our kids.
